For rescues in Shasta County our primary contact point is the Shasta Wildlife Rescue Hot Line:

You can also use this phone number for routine communications. This phone has an answering system that is available 24 hours per day. Between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm the messages are checked every two hours during the closed season. During the active season, a volunteer at the Center is usually available to take your call. DO NOT USE EMAIL for urgent communications such as wildlife that is in distress or danger. Use email only for routine communications or information requests. Email is checked only once daily so a timely response to emergencies is not possible. Use our telephone hot line above for all urgent communications.
